Meghnad, Ravana's son, was determined to kill Rama  and Laxmana. When he entered the battlefield, Laxmana started shooting arrows at him. Soon Laxmana destroyed Meghnad's chariot and even killed his charioteer. Meghanad was furious and shot brahmaastra at Laxmana. As soon as the dreadful arrow hit Laxmana, he fell unconscious. Rama rushed to his beloved brother and tried to revive him.
