Vivekananda was undecided whether to visit Chicago for the international religion conference. One day, while he was sitting facing the sea, His initiator Ramkrishna, who had died long before, appeared and pointed him to the west, signaling him to take the journey. He decided to go, but not for Religious reasons. He wanted to set an example to the Indians that they should not be scared to take overseas journeys. Check the video for more details.
